Families are responsible for covering the cost of therapy sessions.
If you have private medical insurance or are a member of a hospital fund or scheme, you may be eligible to reclaim some of the expenses associated with Speech and Language Therapy. Please speak to your provider.
Many families have successfully utilised personal budgets from their child's Education and Health Care Plan to fund Speech and Language Therapy. Families with children who have a diagnosed disability may also apply for Disability Living Allowance to help cover the cost of therapy sessions.
Additionally, depending on your profession, you might be able to access professional benevolent funds that can contribute towards therapy expenses.
Sessions are clinic based, face to face or online and typically last up to 1 hour, including individualised take home messages that can be shared with the wider family and school staff during the session. Usually fortnightly or monthly block bookings.
CONNECT Clarity Sessions are ad-hoc, parent-focused guidance sessions that provide clear direction, longer-term planning, and a detailed written framework that can be shared with your child’s wider team. They are designed for intermittent use rather than regular blocks, offering families clarity, confidence, and practical next steps that support real-life communication over time.
